Markham Aims to be a Three-Time Masters Title Holder

Lee “The Banjo” Markham goal is to become a  three time Masters title holder at the weekend when he faces Sam Couzens for the British Masters Gold Super-Middleweight strap.  Markham defeated Harry Matthews in April this year to win the British Masters Middleweight version and then defeated Tadus Jonkus in September to win the International Masters Super-Middleweight version.  Now he faces his toughest task to date against former Southern Area Champion Couzens. Santana and Nugaev Won fights at the Chumash Casino

Tonight Gary Shaw Productions presented another edition of the popular series titled "Central Coast Championships" at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California.  In the main event, local fan favorite Francisco Santana scored a 10-round unanimous decision over Joachim Alcine. Santana dominated the bout from the opening round, throwing hard punches to the head and body that kept Alcine on the retreat. Scorecards read 99-90 twice and 100-89, all in favor for Santana who retained his "Central Coast Championship."
