Benmakhlouf Set For First WBF World Title Defense

World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Cruiserweight Champion Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf will make his first title-defense on March 31 when he takes on former Argentinean champion Alejandro Emilio “Mojarra” Valori on home-soil in Algiers, Algeria. This will be only the second time that Benmakhlouf (38) fights in his native country, after starting his professional career in France in 2004. Most of his fights have since taken place in France, but he has also fought twice in Germany, where he won the WBF world title last March, and once in Russia. Melson representing Team Fight to Walk vs Chris Galaeno March 11 at SPiN charity event!

New York, NY (March 9, 2016) – WBC USNBC 154 pound titlist Boyd “Rainmaker” Melson will take off the gloves and pick up a ping pong paddle when he meets New York State welterweight champion Chris Galaeno at SPiN New York Friday, March 11.   The SPiN charity event starts at 9 PM and $10 general admission tickets can be purchased at the door. All attendees who donate $50 or more will be invited to go in ring with Melson and throw punches at him for a round. New York basketball great Kenny Anderson will be working Melson's corner during these rounds while Melson offers himself as a target for those donating at least $50.
