Mijares, who was crowned WBC super flyweight World Champion after defeating Katsushige Kawashima in Tokyo Japan in 2007, is an experienced fighter (35) who has faced several rivals such as Jorge “Travieso” Arce, Vic Darchinyan, Victor “Vikingo” Terrazas and Leo “Terremoto” Santa Cruz among many others, and is considered the best fighter from Gomez Palacio, Durango, México.

On the other hand, Andres Gutiérrez, from Queretaro, Mexico, is a young undefeated fighter (22) who has won 34 battles with 24 by the fast track, so it will be a interesting bout that will have all the fans totally focused on the screen. WBC silver featherweight title will be on the line, the natural division of Gutierrez in which Mijares seeks to shine in the final stretch of his successful career.
