MONTREAL (Dec. 14, 2017) – WBO World Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders (25-0, 12 KOs) and former IBF World Middleweight Champion David Lemieux (38-3, 33 KOs) hosted their final press conference today for their WBO World Middleweight Championship fight that will take place this upcoming Saturday, Dec. 16 at Place Bell in Laval, Québec. The co-main attraction will be a 10-round fight for the WBO Intercontinental Middleweight title between Antoine “Action” Douglas (22-1-1, 16 KOs) and Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (26-2, 18 KOs). New York (December, 11, 2017)–On December 1st, welterweight prospect Poindexter Knight, Jr. won his anticipated professional debut when he stopped Samuel Forjoe in the first round of their scheduled four-round bout at The Strand Ballroom and Theater in Providence, Rhode Island.  The 2017 National Golden Gloves champion out of Philadelphia landed a hard combination the corner that had Forjoe bending over, and the bout was stopped in just 63 seconds.  Knight is the latest top-prospect to debut for Split-T Management, and he is promoted by Evander Holyfield’s Sports and Entertainment. “Everything went well, I was excited and nervous, but I got through it,”said Knight. “I thought my opponent would have a little more for me, but I did what I had to do in there and I got him out of there.  Read more […]

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 11, 2017) – This past week, the “Pound-4-Pound” gym, Las Vegas’ # 1 amateur boxing program, sent eight members to the 2017 USA Boxing Elite Youth National Championships & Junior Open.  The Barrientes twins, Chavez and Angel both qualified to represent Team USA in the Junior Division, by winning belts at the tournament.  Angel Barrientes was voted most outstanding boxer of the tournament. The five-day tournament, which took place in Salt Lake City, UT, at the Calvin L. Tacoma’s Gavronski Ranked No. 13 in the World by WBA

Mike Gavronski took a major step towards realizing his goal of fighting for a world title in 2018 as the Tacoma fighter cracked the World Boxing Association’s Top 15 world rankings for the first time in his career.  Gavronski, the North American Boxing Association super middleweight champion, came in at No. 13 in the most current WBA world rankings. Gavronski (25-2-1, 15 KOs) won the vacant NABA super middleweight title on Nov. 18 after defeating Andrew Hernandez by technical decision. Philadelphia, PA (December 5, 2017) – Last Friday night Tyrone Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Arena.   The exciting 12-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.  Brunson of Philadelphia systematically broke down woods as he boxed well using a pinpoint jab over the first half of the fight.  In round six, Brunson started landing hard power punches and began to stagger Woods.  Finally after round eight, the corner of Woods pulled the plug on the bout, and Brunson scored his 3rd straight win. Brunson is now 26-6-2 with 24 knockouts.  Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida is 16-7-1.
