Degollado Steps Up To Face Pereyra For WBF Title
Undefeated Mexican puncher Christopher Degollado will undoubtedly face his stiffest challenge on November 22, when he takes on fellow prospect and compatriot Ivan Pereyra for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental Super Welterweight title in his hometown of Monterrey.
Degollado, 10-0 (8), has yet to fight for a professional championship, but his last three bouts, while none of them went past round four, were scheduled for ten rounds. He will have the sympathy of the majority of the fans at ringside on the night, but Pereyra, 18-2 (13), has a clear edge in experience.
