Can David Haye Compete with the New Heavyweight Elite?

With less than a month to go until his much-anticipated rematch with Tony Bellew, David Haye had to pull out of the planned fight due to a “freak training injury”. The bizarre injury in question reportedly saw him tear his bicep during a stair conditioning session, but it’s the latest in a long line of injuries for Haye, and something that has defined the latter part of his career. Fight Promotions, Inc. signs 2016 Olympian, Heavyweight Bahodr Jalolov to multi-year promotional contract

New York, NY (February 5, 2018) Fight Promotions Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of 2016 Olympian, super heavyweight Bakhodir Jalolov of Uzbekistan, to a promotional contract.   Jalolov, who was the flag-bearer for Uzbekistan for the 2016 Olympics, is a 6'6" power puncher who participated in approximately 97 amateur bouts, winning 84 by mostly first round knockouts. In a rare case of big time championship boxing in the Mediterranean island state, Prize Boxing Promotions presents a show billed as “Champions Collide” on Saturday February 24 at the Corradino Sports Pavillion in Paola, Malta.  Headlining the bill will be a fight for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Middleweight title between local hero Christian “Coqqos” Schembri and Italy-based Dominican Christian Arvelo Segura. Schembri, 11-3 (5), turned professional in 2015 by unusually facing what appeared to be a much too accomplished opponent in former Commonwealth Champion Scott Dixon (37-10-4 at the time), but amazingly managed to give the Scot all he could handle before losing a majority decision over ten rounds.
