Reyes Fire Fist Boxing and Conlan Boxing to co-promote in Ireland

Tampa, FL (March 2, 2023) – Reyes Fire Fist Boxing Promotions and Conlan Boxing are pleased to announce they’ll co-promote three shows in Ireland.  The first fight card features a significant super middleweight bout between NABA Gold champion Yamaguchi “The Problem” Falcao and Padraig “The Hammer” McCrory.

Born and raised in Brazil but now residing in Florida, Falcao’s an excellent 24-1-1 with 10 wins by knockout. In his most recent bout, the 2012 Olympic bronze medalist scored a seventh round stoppage over Ernest Amuzu. Ranked #6 by the WBA and seventh by the WBC, Falcao would move closer to a world title opportunity if victorious, but defeating McCrory is a tall task.

Fighting out of Belfast, Northern Ireland, McCrory’s unbeaten at 16-0 with 9 KO’s. McCrory had a breakout 2022, stopping Marco Antonio Periban (26-5-1) in five rounds, Leon Bunn (18-0) in six and defeating Dmytro Fedas (8-0-2) by decision. Currently, “The Hammer” is ranked #4 in the world by the WBA and sixth by the WBC.  Falcao-McCrory is scheduled for ten rounds.

“This is a great partnership. Both of our stables can grow in Ireland and the US, said Jamie Conlan of Conlan Boxing, “There are excellent benefits to working together with Reyes Fire Fist Boxing.”

“We are really excited to be working with Jamie Conlan and Conlan Boxing,” said Jody Caliguire of Reyes Fire Fist Boxing. “Our vision aligned well and there’s a lot of opportunities for both our fighters. We promote Yama and Conlan is the promoter for McCrory. Both guys want to fight for a world title but have been passed over, so matching these two hungry fighters was a natural fit. Big things are on the horizon and we’ll have updates in the near future.”
NABA middleweight champion Connor “The Kid” Coyle,18-0 (8 KO’s), will fight in Ireland for the first time in six years when he battles an opponent to be named in a ten round contest. The Derry native, who is the WBA’s fourth ranked middleweight, will first defend his title April 29 in St. Petersburg, FL.

Additional information including venue and fight dates will be announced shortly.
