MELBOURNE, Australia (April 14, 2025) – The beat continued for undefeated Irish super middleweight prospect Tommy “The Governor” Hyde (11-0, 8 KOs) last week during his latest journey in Melbourne, Australia.
Hyde, 25, knocked out his Tanzanian opponent, southpaw Anuary Mlawa (8-3, 4 KOs), in the opening round of their scheduled eight-rounder on “SLB Fight Night,” presented by Sam LaBruna, at The Melbourne Pavilion.
“I’m happy with my performance, I landed some good shots, and I felt very strong,” Hyde evaluated his performance Down Under. “I’ve been working hard in the gym so, if I can get an early night, I’ll take it every time. I’m getting great sparring in the gym and that’s where I’ll do the majority of my learning.”
