Salita Promotions Signs One of Emanuel Steward’s Last Young Fighters, Jacob Bonas, to a Promotional Contract

Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of undefeated welterweight Jacob Bonas to a promotional contract.  Bonas will have his debut fight under the Salita Promotions banner on Saturday, October 5, on the undercard of the Claressa Shields vs. Ivana Habazin battle for the vacant WBO Junior Middleweight Championship at the Dort Federal Event Center in Flint, Mich.  The popular 25-year-old Bonas (3-0-1, 2 KOs) is one of the last of the young fighters trained by the late, great Emanuel Steward, who considered him a prodigy. Russian Bantamweight Contender Nikolai Potapov Returns with TKO over Saltykov

Former NABO Champion and #2-rated WBO bantamweight contender Nikolai Potapov returned to action last Saturday night with a TKO 3 over his Russian countryman, Alexander Saltykov.  Fighting at the Floyd Mayweather Boxing Academy in Zhukovka, Russia, Potapov looked sharp while forcing Saltykov to stay on his stool after two rounds of pounding. (JAN 13) VERONA, NY –Last night at the Turning Stone Resort Casino, in Verona, New York, two-time Olympic boxing champion Claressa "T-Rex" Shields and Tori Nelson made women’s boxing proud when they fought in the main event in ten rounds of boxing action.  Shields winning by unanimous decision, with Shields successfully defending her WBC and IBF Super Middleweight titles, adding the prestigious WBAN Super Middleweight title to her resume.
