(OCT 20) Ray Carolin currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer of SkyPic International, a global producer and distributor of unique entertainment programming that is featured in over 4,000 + movie theaters located in all 50 States, Canada, Mexico, and 60 additional countries.
SkyPic International is a leader in the production of original sports programming, concerts, Broadway stage plays and musicals, opera, ballet, symphonies, comedy, classic movie festivals, and other performing arts programs.
A native of Westbury, Long Island, New York, Ray served in the United States Air Force as a combat controller where he directed U.S. military fighter aircraft to their designated targets. It was in the Air Force where Ray earned his nickname “Sarge” because of his attained rank and his “get it done now” attitude. Ray’s buddy country superstar Garth Brooks has said that whenever you need to “move a mountain” just call “Sarge.”
Upon discharge from the military Ray attended Northern Michigan University on a football scholarship. After a brief career in the National Football League he fulfilled his childhood ambition of becoming one of America’s finest – a United States Secret Service agent.
As a Special Agent he served as a protective agent as well as a criminal investigator specializing in credit card fraud, forgery, and counterfeiting.
Ray also served as a cold case homicide investigator with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (Phoenix, AZ). He was also the weekly co-host of the highly popular Clear Channel Radio “Crime Beat” call-in show.
After the tragic events of September 11, 2001 Ray was called back into government service as a contract agent with the Central Intelligence Agency. For the next six years he served undercover in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kyrgystan, Qatar, United Arab Emerates, Libya, Egypt, Norway, United Kingdm, Italy, North Africa, and many other nations.
Upon completion of government service, Ray enrolled in the Executive Management program at Thunderbird, International School of Global Management. He also served as a consultant to the World Trade Center Association, an organization whose mission is to foster trade between the nations of the world.
With a degree in strategic management Ray is well respected throughout the global community as an expert on strategic marketing and distribution channels for governments and industries seeking to expand their global marketing and sales efforts.
Ray has two daughters (Kim & Christy). Both daughters were nationally ranked swimmers and were members of the US Junior National and US Senior National Swim Teams. He has 6 grandchildren.
