Melian Demolishes Santillan in “Lomachenko Style” Pro Debut; Now wants Argentine National Title

Last Saturday night, two-time Argentinean Olympian Alberto "Impact" Melian turned professional the "Lomachenko way" by knocking out the former world title challenger Diego Ricardo Santillan in the fifth round.  Fighting in front of a sold out F.A.B. With less than a month to go until his much-anticipated rematch with Tony Bellew, David Haye had to pull out of the planned fight due to a “freak training injury”. The bizarre injury in question reportedly saw him tear his bicep during a stair conditioning session, but it’s the latest in a long line of injuries for Haye, and something that has defined the latter part of his career. 2017 National Golden Gloves champion Poindexter Knight, Jr. wins his Pro debut

Barrientes Twins From Pound-4-Pound Boxing Program Win Belts at 2017 USA Boxing Elite Youth National Championships

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 11, 2017) - This past week, the "Pound-4-Pound" gym, Las Vegas' # 1 amateur boxing program, sent eight members to the 2017 USA Boxing Elite Youth National Championships & Junior Open.  The Barrientes twins, Chavez and Angel both qualified to represent Team USA in the Junior Division, by winning belts at the tournament.  Angel Barrientes was voted most outstanding boxer of the tournament. Tacoma’s Gavronski Ranked No. 13 in the World by WBA

Mike Gavronski took a major step towards realizing his goal of fighting for a world title in 2018 as the Tacoma fighter cracked the World Boxing Association’s Top 15 world rankings for the first time in his career.  Gavronski, the North American Boxing Association super middleweight champion, came in at No. 13 in the most current WBA world rankings. Gavronski (25-2-1, 15 KOs) won the vacant NABA super middleweight title on Nov. 18 after defeating Andrew Hernandez by technical decision. Tyrone Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout

Philadelphia, PA (December 5, 2017) - Last Friday night Tyrone Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Arena.   The exciting 12-bout card was promoted by King's Promotions.  Brunson of Philadelphia systematically broke down woods as he boxed well using a pinpoint jab over the first half of the fight.  In round six, Brunson started landing hard power punches and began to stagger Woods.  Finally after round eight, the corner of Woods pulled the plug on the bout, and Brunson scored his 3rd straight win. Brunson is now 26-6-2 with 24 knockouts.  Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida is 16-7-1.
