Petr Petrov earns mandatory WBA lightweight title shot with stoppage over Michael Perez

Indio, CA (October 3, 2016) - Petr Petrov (38-4-2, 19 KO's) earned a mandatory world title shot at the WBA Lightweight title with a stoppage after 6 rounds over Michael Perez in a scheduled 12 round bout at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort in Indio, California.  In round 2, Perez was bloodied over his right eye, and Petrov was cut on his forehead.
