USA Boxing Alumni’s 1988 USA Trials Virtual Reunion Review

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 25, 2021) - USA Boxing and the USA Boxing Alumni Association recently held a virtual reunion via Zoom for competitors at the 1988 USA Boxing Trials. Among the 25 boxers who participated were 1988 Olympic gold and silver medalist, respectively, light heavyweight Andrew Maynard and light flyweight Michael Carbajal. The group was comprised of fighters who competed at the 1988 USA Olympic Trials, plus a few administrators, many of whom hadn't seen nor spoken to most of the others for more than 30 years. AIBA President opened Strandja tournament in Bulgaria with 30 countries participating​

On Monday, February 22, AIBA President Mr. Umar Kremlev visited Bulgaria to open the 72nd edition of the oldest international Strandja Memorial tournament. In total, 220 athletes were registered to take part in the competitions in Sofia. Before the opening ceremony, the President had a joint training session with athletes from 30 countries. ‘It is always a pleasure for me to meet boxers personally. I enjoy speaking with them, to answer their questions. I strongly believe that the athletes and coaches are our main values. Split-T Management Boxers Score three knockouts on Saturday night

NEW YORK (February 22, 2021) -Three fighters under the Split-T Management banner registered knockout victories on Saturday night. At Caribe Royale in Orland, Florida, welterweight Ivan Golub continued his ascent towards a major fight as he stopped Luis Eduardo Florez in round six of their scheduled eight-round bout.
